The Vortex was created in 1993 it is Acrylic on Stretched Canvas and is 36" X 48"
As stated in my bio, my early works were created in Chicago, in my studio surrounded by some of my true friends and family...
...for those who ask what this painting is to me, I was practicing painting light, and it is a cross-section of the spectrum in the shape I chose to paint.
People see various things in the vortex: a path...a staircase...a conch shell...a rose....there are those who see the life rings of a great tree...and there are those who aren't sure what to make of it...and that's ok by me...
What people find is for their own journey, and is not for me to tell them...as long as you enjoy the piece, I have accomplished my purpose...
